Greetings from the College of Education! You are invited to participate in our new event for spring – Education Day in the Quad! The College of Education is planning a fun and informative day of education related information and activities out on the quad in front of Miller Hall. This event will take place on Thursday, May 2nd from 11 am – 3 pm.
We will have a large tent (the big top!) and a festive atmosphere with balloons, activities at various stations, a school bus, cotton candy, popcorn, a dunk tank (dunk-the-dean times to be announced), Dubs the Dawg and YOU, talking to students about how they can find a fit in Education. We encourage you to bring staff and students to assist in talking with students about how they fit into education and how the messaging "Educators Are ……You!" can apply to them in a variety of areas across the campus.
We have provided a flyer for you to promote the event among your staff and students, as well as our "map" of the various areas to be represented and where certain groups or organizations might find the best fit.
There is also a link to a catalyst survey so that you can tell us if you are able to participate, and how many people you may be able to bring. There will also be a place on the survey for your feedback as to where you might fit best under the big top. There are a number of different areas within the field that groups or organizations may want to have multiple representation.
We hope you are able to participate and make this a wonderful day of Education in the Quad! Please respond to the catalyst survey by Tuesday, April 23rd.
