Please join us on Friday, April 19th from 4-5:30 pm in the UW Libraries Research Commons for Scholars’ Studio: Pacific Northwest Research @the Commons.
Need a break from your work this quarter? Interested in hearing about Pacific Northwest related research being done on campus? Need inspiration for an upcoming talk or presentation? Want to help provide constructive presentation feedback to UW graduate students? Join us at Scholars’ Studio!
Hosted by the UW Libraries Research Commons and The Graduate School, Scholars’ Studio features 10 fast-paced lightning talks (5-minutes each) given by UW graduate students on a theme. This quarter, our theme is "Pacific Northwest". Scholars’ Studio gives students the opportunity to share their research across disciplines, make connections and build presentation skills. Audience members provide comments and feedback on written forms. Talks will be followed by a Q&A with presenters, reception (snacks and beverages) and conversation. This event is open to all UW students, faculty and staff, family and friends, so please encourage others to attend!
This Scholars’ Studio will be part of the UW Husky Fest 2013 activities, and will include a presentation by Conor Casey, Labor Archivist at the UW Libraries.
Please help us spread the word about this event by sharing the attached flyer with your colleagues.
And we hope to see you on the 19th!
