*1. TA Support Working Group*
Are you a TA? Have you ever been limited by a lack of resources, training,
or mentorship in your teaching? The ASUW Working Group on TA Support is
aiming to heighten the discussion and action around this issue, and we need
to hear from graduate TAs to identify any systemic changes that could be
made to improve teaching resources. Please join us this *Thursday, March 7
at 2:30 in the GPSS Office, HUB 314* if you would like to join us in this
effort! Please contact Michael Kutz (asuwbdua) if you have any
2. What is Diversity? *
Are you working on diversity efforts in your graduate program? Wanna know
more about what’s going on around campus? Come join us *Friday, March 8th
from 12-1pm in the HUB 340** *for a brown bag lunch to discuss diversity
efforts going on across campus. Meet representatives across departments
working on diversity, and share best practices. Think about these questions
before you join us: 1.) What struggles does your school face in terms of
diversity? 2.) How does your school define "diversity" for your student
body? 3.) What can GPSS do to help you in your diversity efforts?

Also, the GPSS Diversity Committee would like to get information from you
about what sort of diversity efforts are happening within your department,
school or on-campus. If you have a diversity committee within your school
or department please send Kristen Hosey, the GPSS Secretary (gpsssec)
with their information so that we can reach out to them and try to network
diversity groups across campus. The GPSS Diversity Committee has started a
list here <>, and we’d love to
add your group!
