Changes: Submitting Thesis/Dissertations

Hi Grad Students– please check out this new information:

Since moving to Electronic Theses/Dissertations (ETDs), we have made significant changes to the Graduate School’s thesis/dissertation web pages. One of the changes we made was removing our format guidelines. This change was necessary so that students would instead use the following resource: ProQuest Dissertation Publishing – Author Guide: Preparing Your Manuscript for Submission. It also allows students to follow the formatting guidelines of their disciplines. The Graduate School continues to require that students include specific information on their title page, copyright page, and abstract (see http://www.grad.washington.edu/students/etd/req-sections.shtml).

To avoid any further confusion to your students, please take a few minutes to check your own departmental web pages for any broken links. If you link to our information, please use the following URL: http://www.grad.washington.edu/students/etd/index.shtml.

We ask that you share this information with students submitting ETDs. If you have any questions, let us know.

Thank you,

Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS)
