Patti McKinnell Davis – Biotechnology and Biomedical Policy
Lekelia Jenkins, PhD – Environmental Science Policy
Patti McKinnell Davis – WBBA, Director, Public Affairs: Patti McKinnell Davis joined WBBA in 2003
as Director of Public Affairs. She has worked in various capacities in external and internal communications,
public relations, community relations and advocacy at Providence Everett Medical Center, The Casey Family
Program, United Way of King County, and Children’s Home Society of Washington. She charted new
ground in each of those organizations as the first person to hold those jobs.
Lakelia Jenkins, Ph.D. – Assistant Professor, University of Washington – School of Marine and Environmental Affair: Dr. Lekelia Jenkins earned her doctorate from Duke University by pioneering a new field of study into
the invention and adoption of marine conservation technology. As an AAAS Science and Technology Policy
Fellow with the National Marine Fisheries Service’s Office of International Affairs, she helped implement
new regulations to address bycatch and IUU fishing by foreign nations.
