Please take time to sign-up for an intenship or job interview with Mark Nell of Exxon. It is very important to the our department that we fill all the available slots. The ESS 101 TAs are looking for TAAs (TA Assistants) to help out during lab sections. TAAs are not responsible for grading or lecturing – they just attend a lab section to be on hand to help answer students’ questions. ESS 492 credit is available if desired. This will satisfy the TAA requirement for ESS Honors.
The schedule of lab sections and TAs is here: http://www.washington.edu/students/timeschd/AUT2012/ess
If you are interested in TAAing for ESS 101, please contact Prof. Terry Swanson (tswanson), and include which lab section(s) you are available to TAA.
The Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards has a very full schedule of scholarship-related information sessions and workshops for undergraduates during fall quarter. Please find attached a hopefully helpful listing of selected upcoming deadlines, upcoming scholarship information sessions and workshops that you are welcome to use as a resource, post and/or share with your undergraduate students. Details are also on our website at http://www.washington.edu/students/ugrad/scholar/workshops.
